HiteJinro participated as an official sponsor of the inaugural Korean Cultural Festival in Seattle, strengthening its efforts to promote the Jinro brand and expand the presence of Korean soju in the United States.
The festival was held on June 18 (local time) at the outdoor plaza near the iconic Space Needle, one of Seattle’s most recognizable landmarks. The event was jointly organized by the Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles, the Korean Association of Greater Seattle, and the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Seattle.
As the first large-scale Korean cultural event of its kind in the city, the festival featured a wide range of programs celebrating Korean culture, including K-pop performances, traditional Korean music, hanbok fashion shows, K-beauty experiences, and Korean food exhibitions.
HiteJinro was the only Korean alcoholic beverage company participating in the event’s beer garden area. The company introduced four flagship soju products to festival visitors: Chamisul Fresh, Chamisul Original, Green Grape Jinro, and Lemon Jinro.
To enhance consumer engagement, HiteJinro distributed branded cheering items and promotional merchandise while operating a photo zone featuring its popular Jinro toad mascot. The interactive activities provided attendees with opportunities to experience the brand firsthand and learn more about Korea’s leading soju products.
The company said its participation reflects a broader strategy to connect with international consumers through cultural experiences and capitalize on the growing popularity of Korean entertainment, food, and lifestyle content in global markets.
In addition to the Seattle event, HiteJinro plans to host group-viewing promotional events tied to major international football matches at liquor stores and retail locations across key U.S. markets, including California and New York. Special cheering kits and themed promotional menu packages will also be offered during the campaign period.
Industry observers note that the combination of K-culture events and sports marketing provides Korean beverage brands with an effective platform to reach younger consumers and broaden awareness among mainstream audiences. As global interest in Korean culture continues to rise, Korean soju is increasingly gaining recognition as an accessible and versatile alcoholic beverage beyond Asian communities.
“The Korean Cultural Festival and a major global football event provide valuable opportunities to introduce Jinro to a wider audience in the United States,” said Hwang Jung-ho, Executive Vice President and Head of Overseas Business at HiteJinro. “We will continue our efforts to establish soju as a mainstream global spirits category enjoyed by consumers around the world.”
