Netmarble announced on October 14 that it successfully showcased its new action RPG, Mongil: STAR DIVE, developed by Netmarble Monster, at the Brazil Game Show 2025 (BGS 2025), Latin America’s largest gaming exhibition.
BGS, which attracts more than 300,000 visitors annually, ran this year from October 9–12 in São Paulo. Netmarble operated an on-site demo booth in partnership with Samsung Electronics, drawing strong interest from attendees.
Mongil: STAR DIVE is the official sequel to the 2013 hit Monster Taming and is built on Unreal Engine 5, featuring high-quality graphics and cinematic presentation. The game centers on a “monstering collecting” system—capturing, collecting, and combining monsters—and will be available on PC, mobile, and consoles including PlayStation 5. The console version was first revealed at Tokyo Game Show 2025 and attracted global attention.
At BGS, visitors experienced Mongil: STAR DIVE on Samsung’s glasses-free 3D monitor, Odyssey 3D. Players praised the visuals and immersion, with many saying the graphics felt impressive and the monster-collection mechanics were fresh and appealing.
Samsung’s Odyssey 3D produces a stereoscopic effect without separate 3D glasses. Netmarble and Samsung optimized the display to enhance depth and visual fidelity for characters, environments, and in-game effects.
Netmarble said the BGS appearance boosted global anticipation for Mongil: STAR DIVE. The title has previously been demoed at Gamescom in Germany and Tokyo Game Show in Japan, and Netmarble plans to continue international promotion at G-STAR 2025 in Busan on November 13.
The game will support 12 languages, including Korean, English, Japanese (voice), and additional texts in German and Brazilian Portuguese. Global preregistration is currently open. Netmarble also recently completed a second closed beta test (CBT) and is incorporating participant feedback to further refine the game.
