Solflare has partnered with Snowdrop Solutions to improve transaction visibility for its self-custody debit card, as crypto firms expand further into consumer payment services.
The partnership, announced in London on April 7, adds Snowdrop’s transaction-enrichment API to Solflare Card, a debit card linked to users’ Solflare wallets. The companies said the integration will replace raw transaction strings with clearer merchant names, official logos and categorised spending data.
The move targets a common weakness in card payments, where transaction records often show terminal codes or shortened merchant descriptors that can be difficult for users to identify. Solflare said the added data is intended to make card activity easier to read and track.
Solflare said its card allows users to make debit card payments with USDC while retaining control of their assets, without preloading funds or converting them beforehand. In that model, transaction clarity becomes a key part of the user experience.
The integration was carried out through Google Cloud Marketplace, which the companies said helped streamline procurement and deployment.
Mihajlo M., head of payments at Solflare, said the partnership was aimed at improving transparency in everyday crypto spending. Ken Hart, chief executive and founder of Snowdrop Solutions, said clearer transaction data was becoming more important as crypto platforms developed into broader financial service providers.
Solflare said it serves more than 4 million monthly active users. The partnership underscores a wider shift among crypto wallet providers, which are increasingly moving beyond custody and trading into payments and consumer-facing financial products.
