LG Household & Healthcare (LG H&H) announced that it has won a CES 2026 Innovation Award in the BeautyTech category for its self-developed wearable beauty device, the “Hyper Rejuvenating Eye Patch.” This marks the company’s first-ever Innovation Award at CES, the world’s largest consumer electronics and technology exhibition.
The award-winning device integrates LG H&H’s core competencies, including AI-powered skin diagnostics, personalized functional ingredient formulation, and advanced light energy control technologies. The system consists of an AI skin analysis program, a biomimetic negative-pressure patch, a flexible LED patch, and a band-type controller.
Before use, the AI analyzes the user’s eye-area skin concerns—such as wrinkles, pigmentation, and dark circles—based on a database of approximately 60,000 skin profiles accumulated by LG H&H. The AI then recommends optimized active ingredients tailored to the diagnosis. These ingredients are delivered deep into the skin using a negative-pressure patch inspired by the suction mechanism of octopus tentacles. A flexible LED patch, thinner than 1 mm, adds controlled light energy to provide multidimensional skin care.
The device’s band-type configuration allows users to keep their hands free, while the use of premium materials such as aluminum and fabric enhances comfort and design quality. The negative-pressure patch technology, co-developed with the startup Mimetics, has been recognized for its scientific merit through publications in journals such as Nature and ACS Nano.
LG Household & Healthcare has completed related patent and trademark registrations, laying the groundwork for product commercialization. The company has been accelerating future-oriented beauty tech research following its acquisition of the LG Pra.L brand, and the CES accolade is viewed as part of its broader strategic push in innovation.
Kang Nae-kyu, Chief Technology Officer of LG Household & Healthcare, said, “This CES 2026 Innovation Award demonstrates that LG H&H’s personalized beauty-tech research is competitive in the global market.”
