SPC Group’s bakery brand Paris Baguette has opened its first Mongolian store, Zaisan Square, in the capital Ulaanbaatar.
Paris Baguette’s China unit signed a master franchise (MF) agreement last year with Foodcorp LLC, a leading Mongolian food and F&B company with a broad portfolio spanning manufacturing, dining, and distribution, to support the brand’s local entry.
Mongolia is seen as a high‑potential market due to strong preference for Korean culture and brands and double‑digit annual growth in the food sector. Paris Baguette plans to strengthen its presence quickly by opening two additional stores in central Ulaanbaatar within the year.
The Zaisan Square store occupies a 90‑seat space on the first floor of the major southern Ulaanbaatar complex Zaisan Square and adopts a premium bakery‑café concept with European‑style touches such as herringbone wood flooring and extensive wood accents.
The outlet offers classic French breads like croissants and pain au chocolat alongside popular items from the Chinese market such as garlic baguettes and ring donuts, adapted with Paris Baguette’s proprietary techniques. The menu also features European desserts suited for tea time, including éclairs and mille‑feuille, and premium gift items like roll cakes and castella to appeal to younger customers.
