Hanmi Pharmaceutical is expanding its research and development achievements based on next-generation therapeutic modalities, with a strong presence planned at AACR 2026.
The company announced that it will present nine preclinical studies at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting 2026, scheduled to take place in San Diego from April 17 to 22. This marks the largest number of presentations among Korean pharmaceutical and biotech companies at the event.
At the conference, Hanmi Pharmaceutical will showcase key pipeline assets, including an EZH1/2 dual inhibitor (HM97662), a HER2-selective inhibitor (HM100714), a SOS1-KRAS interaction inhibitor (HM101207), an EP300 selective degrader, STING mRNA-based anticancer therapy, and two p53 mRNA-based cancer therapeutics. Additional programs from Beijing Hanmi Pharmaceutical, the company’s China affiliate, will also be presented, including a 4-1BB x PD-L1 bispecific antibody (BH3120) and a B7H3 x PD-L1 bispecific antibody-drug conjugate (BH4601).
Among these, the EP300 selective degrader stands out as an oral therapy developed using Hanmi’s targeted protein degradation (TPD) platform, highlighting the company’s capabilities in emerging modality-based drug development.
The company will also present advancements in mRNA-based immuno-oncology therapies. Its STING mRNA candidate has demonstrated a dual mechanism of action by activating immune responses while directly inducing tumor cell death. Meanwhile, the p53 mRNA therapy works by restoring tumor suppressor protein expression, triggering apoptosis in cancer cells. The presentations are expected to include data showing improved anticancer efficacy and potential to overcome drug resistance.
In addition, Hanmi Pharmaceutical will introduce a precision medicine approach based on transcriptome analysis, designed to predict patient responses and identify suitable cancer types for treatment.
Beijing Hanmi Pharmaceutical will present further findings on BH3120, developed using its proprietary bispecific antibody platform “Pentambody.” The candidate is currently undergoing global Phase 1 clinical trials in Korea and the United States, alongside ongoing preclinical studies to further analyze its mechanism of action.
A company official said Hanmi Pharmaceutical is strengthening its next-generation drug development capabilities by integrating advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, and omics across its research processes. The company plans to continue advancing innovative therapeutics based on its global R&D competitiveness.
