Mirae Asset Global Investments said it will list the “TIGER US AI Power SMR ETF (0123G0)” on the Korea Exchange on November 4.
The ETF will invest in 10 major power‑infrastructure companies listed on U.S. exchanges, with a focus on the small modular reactor (SMR) sector — a technology emerging as a key power source for AI data centers. The portfolio will include leading SMR developers such as NuScale Power and Oklo, as well as firms providing complementary power technologies needed by AI facilities, including gas turbines (GE Vernova) and fuel cells (Bloom Energy).
SMRs (Small Modular Reactors) are next‑generation compact nuclear reactors suited to the power demands of data centers. The U.S. government has been promoting SMR development as part of a strategic effort to strengthen energy security and digital infrastructure, supporting the industry through streamlined permitting and tax incentives to expand the ecosystem.
Among the ETF’s holdings, NuScale Power is the first SMR company to receive design certification from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and is developing a module‑based reactor (NPM). Oklo, backed in part by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, is advancing fourth‑generation SMR technology specifically tailored for data‑center power supply.
The fund also includes “on‑site generation” companies that enable data centers to produce power internally — Bloom Energy, GE Vernova and Centrus Energy — as well as firms that supply power directly to nearby data centers, such as Constellation Energy.
Kim Nam‑ho, head of Global ETF Management at Mirae Asset, said the rapid rise in power demand from AI data centers highlights limitations of existing grids and is driving interest in SMRs, gas turbines and fuel cells. “This ETF will provide an efficient way to invest in these next‑generation energy industries,” he said.
To commemorate the listing, Mirae Asset is running a promotion offering cultural gift vouchers to customers who meet certain trading criteria through SK Securities. Details are available on the brokerage’s website.
