NUVA Digital, the software development company behind the real-world asset marketplace NUVA, said in a recent announcement that it has raised US$5.2 million in seed funding. Morgan Creek Digital led the round.

NUVA was co-created by Animoca Brands and Nuva Labs. The platform is designed as a non-custodial distribution layer for tokenized real-world asset vaults, allowing users to deposit stablecoins and receive liquid tokens linked to yield-generating RWA products.

According to the company, NUVA aims to address fragmentation in the tokenized RWA market by bringing multiple curated vaults into a single marketplace. The platform uses on-chain proof of reserves and is structured without minimum deposit requirements or lock-up periods.

The new funding will be used to expand NUVA’s curated vault marketplace, add issuer integrations, support multi-chain deployments, build institutional tools and prepare for the launch of the NUVA utility token.

The financing comes as tokenized real-world assets continue to attract interest from asset managers, fintech firms and blockchain companies. The sector has been promoted as a way to bring traditional financial assets, such as credit products, funds and other yield-bearing instruments, onto blockchain infrastructure.

Yat Siu, co-founder and executive chairman of Animoca Brands, said tokenized RWAs could become a significant area of finance by improving liquidity and access to institutional-quality assets. He said NUVA’s marketplace model is intended to reduce fragmentation by offering a unified access point for RWA vaults.

Anthony Moro, CEO of NUVA Digital, said the funding reflects demand for a neutral platform that distributes vaults from curators and asset managers without taking on custody or origination functions. He said the company plans to use the capital to improve user experience, broaden issuer participation and increase the use of NUVA vaulted assets across DeFi.

NUVA is now moving from early-stage development toward broader platform expansion, with a focus on increasing total value locked and user adoption in the tokenized RWA market.
