Hana Financial Group is moving to strengthen its wealth management business as demand for financial planning expands beyond high-net-worth clients to a broader customer base.
The group said it will hold the “Hana Financial Group Money Show,” a client-focused wealth management seminar, at its Myeong-dong headquarters in Seoul at 2 p.m. on May 28.
The event will bring together wealth management specialists from key affiliates, including banking, securities and insurance units. It will cover equities, real estate, taxation, asset succession and insurance planning through lectures, thematic sessions and one-on-one consultations.
The main sessions will feature Lee Sun-yup, chief executive of AFW Partners, who will discuss changes in the global economy and industries after the Iran war. Professor Lee Ho-sun will deliver a lecture on communication psychology within families.
Optional sessions will address real estate policy and tax strategies, asset transfer using testamentary trusts, and investment strategies for a possible KOSPI 7000 era. Hana Securities analyst Kim Doo-un will also participate as a speaker.
Consultation booths will cover asset succession, gift and inheritance tax, customized investment strategies including home pension and Hana Gold Trust, the outlook for the domestic investment market, and insurance coverage analysis. Participants will be able to receive one-on-one consultations from specialists and may be connected with nearby branches for follow-up services.
Hana Financial Group also plans to livestream major lectures through its official YouTube channel, Hana TV, for customers unable to attend in person. Registration opens on May 14 through the Hana One Q mobile app and on May 20 through the Hana Money app. Applications will also be available through QR codes in print advertisements, outdoor ads and branch offices.
The event reflects a broader shift in Korea’s financial sector, where wealth management competition is moving from product sales toward integrated advice and long-term customer relationships. As investment conditions become more complex amid interest-rate uncertainty, real estate market changes, tax issues, and succession-planning needs, financial groups are increasingly combining expertise across affiliates to offer integrated wealth management services.
Hana Bank was named Korea’s Best Private Bank and Korea’s Best for Succession Planning at Euromoney’s Private Banking Awards 2026. The upcoming Money Show can be seen as an effort to extend the group’s private banking capabilities to a wider customer base.
