Lisbon, Portugal, March 11, 2026 — NEAR Intents has integrated its cross-chain swap infrastructure into Brave Wallet through Brave browser version 1.88, enabling users to swap assets across multiple blockchain networks from within the wallet interface.

According to the announcement, the integration makes NEAR Intents the first swap provider in Brave Wallet to connect the wallet’s supported blockchain networks through a single swap layer. These networks include Bitcoin, Solana, Zcash, Cardano, and EVM-compatible chains such as Ethereum, Base, and Arbitrum. The result is intended to allow users to move assets between different blockchain ecosystems without relying on separate tools or workflows for each network pair.

The integration centers on so-called “any-to-any” swaps, meaning users can initiate exchanges between assets on different chains without manually navigating the intermediate steps typically associated with cross-chain transfers. In conventional multi-chain transactions, users often need to bridge assets, manage network-specific gas tokens, or move funds across multiple services before completing a swap. NEAR Intents said its system is designed to reduce that complexity by letting the user specify the desired outcome while the underlying infrastructure handles routing and execution.

The company said its protocol uses an intent-based architecture, in which the user defines the result they want rather than manually constructing each transaction step. In practice, this means the system coordinates bridging, execution, and settlement behind the scenes. The integration is intended to keep the process داخل Brave Wallet rather than requiring users to leave the browser or use separate decentralized applications for different parts of the transaction flow.

The announcement also highlighted support for shielded ZEC transactions. ZEC is the native asset of the Zcash network, which includes privacy-preserving transaction options. NEAR Intents said the integration supports shielded ZEC transfers using zero-knowledge proofs, a cryptographic method that allows transaction details to be verified while keeping certain information private. According to the company, this is intended to conceal the sender, recipient, and transaction amount on the public blockchain. It added that if a shielded ZEC transaction requires a refund, the funds are automatically returned to the shielded pool.

Alex Shevchenko, CEO of Defuse Labs, the team behind NEAR Intents, said the integration is meant to simplify asset movement across chains within a browser-based environment. He said the inclusion of assets ranging from Bitcoin to shielded Zcash illustrates how intent-based transaction infrastructure can reduce complexity for end users while preserving privacy features where available.

James Mudgett, vice president of Web3 at Brave Software, said the integration is part of Brave Wallet’s effort to make cross-chain asset transfers easier to perform from within the wallet itself. He said users can now move assets across networks including Bitcoin, Zcash, Solana, Cardano, and EVM-based chains, without manually handling bridges or gas requirements.

NEAR Intents said the Brave Wallet rollout extends its existing distribution across decentralized finance applications, wallet providers, and other platforms. The company also said its infrastructure has previously been used by partners including Ledger, SwapKit, and RHEA Finance. The new integration builds on prior collaboration between NEAR and Brave and brings the service to Brave Wallet users through the latest browser release.

Brave said the feature is now available globally to users of the Brave browser version 1.88 and later.
