As demand for AI data centers and smart building infrastructure continues to rise, LS Eco Energy is expanding its certified product portfolio for the North American market. The company is strengthening its push into AI-driven infrastructure projects by adding UL-certified communication cable products alongside its existing power cable lineup.
LS Eco Energy announced on Wednesday that communication cables produced by its Vietnamese manufacturing subsidiary LSCV have obtained UL fire safety certification in the United States.
The certified products are signal transmission cables used in AI data centers and smart buildings for applications such as access control systems, CCTV networks, and alarm systems.
Demand for related infrastructure has been increasing across North America amid expanding investment in AI data centers, smart buildings, and security systems. Industry officials note that fire resistance and safety standards have become increasingly important as communication and power cables are often installed together inside commercial buildings and data center facilities.
UL certification is widely regarded as one of the key safety standards in the U.S. electrical, electronics, and construction materials industries, and is considered an essential requirement for entering the North American infrastructure market.
LS Eco Energy had previously secured UL certification for power cables as well, and is now broadening its portfolio across both power and communication infrastructure segments in North America. The company said LSCV has already been supplying UTP data transmission cables to North American data center customers, allowing it to leverage its existing client network to accelerate market expansion.
Global tech companies have recently been ramping up large-scale AI data center investments in Southeast Asian countries such as Malaysia and Vietnam, driving additional demand for power and communication infrastructure. LS Eco Energy has been supplying power cables and busduct systems to several of these projects as it expands its presence in the AI infrastructure market.
Lee Sang-ho, CEO of LS Eco Energy, said the company plans to continue increasing the proportion of high-value-added products and further diversify its communication product portfolio for data centers following the latest certification approval.
