Mirae Asset Securities is reinforcing its position in the global fixed-income market after receiving institutional and individual recognition in this year’s industry awards.

The Korean brokerage said on Sept. 16 that it was named an outstanding institutional investor in the G3 bond category at the 2026 Best Institutional Investor Awards organized by Asian financial publication The Asset. The recognition marks the second consecutive year that the firm has received an award in the category.

The G3 bond market covers securities denominated in the U.S. dollar, euro and Japanese yen, the three currencies that play a central role in global fixed-income markets. Investment performance in these markets is closely linked to changes in interest rates, monetary policy, foreign exchange movements and global economic conditions.

Mirae Asset Securities previously received recognition for its G3 bond portfolio management capabilities, including a first-place ranking in portfolio management last year. The firm was again included among the Korean institutional investors recognized this year, alongside major financial institutions such as the Korea Investment Corporation and the Bank of Korea.

The company also received recognition at the individual level. Keith Ho, a managing director at Mirae Asset Securities’ Singapore operation, was selected as the top investment professional in Korea’s G3 bond category.

The awards come as Mirae Asset Securities has continued to build a cross-border fixed-income platform linking its headquarters in Seoul with major financial centers overseas.

The company maintains bond specialists in Singapore, Hong Kong, London and New York, allowing its teams to monitor developments across major markets and share investment and trading expertise. The network is also being used to strengthen relationships with institutional investors, including central banks, sovereign wealth funds and global asset managers.

Mirae Asset Securities has been expanding its bond business beyond investment and portfolio management into sales and primary-market activities. By connecting its domestic operations with overseas offices, the company aims to provide institutional clients with broader access to global bond markets and financing opportunities.

The strategy comes against a backdrop of heightened volatility in global fixed income. Interest-rate expectations, central-bank policy shifts, inflation trends and geopolitical developments continue to influence bond markets, making local market expertise and international investor networks increasingly important.

For Korean financial institutions, building a sustained presence in major overseas financial centers has therefore become an important part of expanding their fixed-income businesses. Rather than relying solely on domestic demand, firms are seeking to connect global investors with Korean issuers while also broadening their investment opportunities in overseas markets.

Mirae Asset Securities said it plans to continue integrating its investment, asset management, sales and issuance capabilities. The company also intends to strengthen cooperation among its overseas offices and expand its network of global institutional investors.

“We have continued to expand our capabilities in the global bond market,” said Lee Jae-hyun, head of the bond division at Mirae Asset Securities. “By connecting the expertise of our overseas offices with our global investor network, we will continue developing an integrated global bond business spanning investment, asset management, sales and primary markets while providing differentiated financial services to clients in Korea and overseas.”
