KB Securities has expanded its global corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts in Indonesia by improving educational facilities, promoting climate awareness and supporting cultural programs aimed at helping children and local communities.

The company announced on Monday that it held a completion ceremony on June 24 for its latest Overseas Rainbow Classroom project at Salsabila Al Kautsar Elementary School in Cilincing, North Jakarta.

Rainbow Classroom is KB Securities' flagship social contribution program designed to improve educational environments for children in underserved communities. Since its launch in 2009, the initiative has steadily expanded beyond South Korea. With the completion of the Indonesian project, the company has now established a total of 41 Rainbow Classrooms, including 25 in Korea and 16 overseas.

The selected school is located in a densely populated area where aging facilities and limited educational resources have posed challenges for students and teachers. As part of the project, KB Securities renovated classrooms and the school library, upgraded learning facilities and provided additional books to help create a safer and more effective learning environment.

The company also improved the school's water storage system by replacing outdated tanks with modern facilities capable of better withstanding flooding and other weather-related risks, helping strengthen sanitation and disaster preparedness.

Beyond infrastructure improvements, KB Securities organized climate change education programs for teachers and nearby residents. The sessions were designed to raise awareness of environmental issues and equip the local community with practical knowledge to better respond to the growing impacts of climate change.

The initiative also included support for the annual "Love Violin" Music Camp, which celebrated its 10th anniversary this year. Under the program, professional violin instructors from South Korea traveled to Indonesia to provide intensive week-long music lessons for local children, offering opportunities for cultural exchange alongside arts education.

The latest project reflects KB Securities' broader ESG strategy of combining education, environmental sustainability and community engagement. Rather than providing one-time financial assistance, the company aims to create long-term social value by helping local communities build stronger educational foundations and greater resilience.
