Celltrion is steadily expanding its presence across major European markets, driven by continued growth in its oncology and autoimmune disease treatments. The company’s product portfolio is showing broad-based performance, with newly launched therapies rapidly gaining traction through successful tender wins and increasing prescriptions, further reinforcing synergies with its existing lineup.
In the oncology segment, Vegzelma (bevacizumab), used to treat metastatic colorectal cancer and breast cancer, has secured a stable market position in Europe. In France, the drug has strengthened its presence by winning consecutive supply contracts through major hospital purchasing group tenders, achieving a leading position with over 50% market share in the bevacizumab segment.
Other oncology products are also performing well. Herzuma (trastuzumab), a breast cancer treatment, and Truxima (rituximab), used for blood cancers, have delivered solid results in key French hospital tenders, contributing to balanced growth across Celltrion’s oncology portfolio.
In Germany, prescriptions for Celltrion’s oncology treatments are also on the rise. The company has expanded its commercial efforts across hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies, resulting in Truxima and Vegzelma ranking first in retail prescriptions, while Herzuma secured the second position, highlighting strong competitiveness in the market.
Vegzelma, despite being a relatively late entrant, has rapidly increased its market share. According to IQVIA, the drug ranked first in the European bevacizumab market with approximately 30% market share as of the fourth quarter of 2025.
In the autoimmune disease segment, newer products are also demonstrating notable growth. Avtozma (tocilizumab) has expanded its sales base by securing supply contracts in major public tenders across Spain and with health authorities. In Portugal, both its auto-injector and vial formulations were selected as top-priority suppliers in national tenders, further strengthening its market position.
Germany has also seen strong growth in Avtozma sales. The subcutaneous (SC) formulation recorded a significant increase in sales volume in the first quarter compared to the previous quarter, while the intravenous (IV) formulation has also achieved rapid growth, indicating strong market demand.
Celltrion attributes these results to the accumulation of additional safety data and enhanced marketing strategies targeting healthcare professionals. The growth of Avtozma is also positively influencing prescriptions of Yuflyma (adalimumab), another autoimmune treatment. Since the launch of Avtozma, Yuflyma has recorded double-digit quarterly growth in Germany, demonstrating strong market momentum.
The company noted that the expansion of its product portfolio is generating synergies in sales and marketing, leading to simultaneous growth across key products. A Celltrion official stated that both existing and newly launched high-value products are delivering stable performance in major European markets, adding that the company will continue to strengthen its global presence through differentiated competitiveness and market-focused strategies.
