Netmarble’s open-world RPG Seven Deadly Sins: Origin, released in March, is gaining strong traction in global markets across multiple platforms.
According to the company, the game ranked No.1 in the free-to-play category on the PlayStation Store in major regions including the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia. In North America, it stood out as the only Korean title among the top-ranked games, surpassing major titles such as Fortnite and Roblox, which placed second and third, respectively. The game also maintained its No.1 position in Asian markets.
The title has also performed well on PC platform Steam. It reached No.1 in France and ranked third in Belgium and Italy, third in Japan, fourth in South Korea and Germany, and seventh in Brazil, securing top positions in bestseller charts across key markets.
Netmarble rolled out the game’s first update on April 8, introducing a new hero named Daisy. Unlike characters from the original series, Daisy is an original character portrayed as a fairy from the past who has collaborated with various explorers to create mysterious artifacts.
Daisy, introduced as an SSR-grade character, specializes in crafting-related gameplay. She features an adventure skill that expands portable crafting table slots, enhancing her utility in exploration and item production.
The update also adds a new difficulty level, “Abyss,” to the boss dungeon. This mode emphasizes exploiting boss weaknesses and utilizing attribute-based burst effects, encouraging players to build strategic character combinations. The company said the new content is designed to provide higher progression goals and deepen combat engagement.
To celebrate the PlayStation Store milestone and the update, Netmarble is offering all players an SSR hero selection ticket. Players can choose from characters including Elaine, King, Guila, Jericho, Marnie, Drake, and Diane, along with additional in-game rewards and growth materials.
Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is based on the globally popular manga franchise The Seven Deadly Sins, which has sold more than 55 million copies worldwide. Built on Unreal Engine 5, the game features high-quality graphics, open-world exploration, and action-driven combat, and is available across PC, mobile, and console platforms.
