NCSoft and NVIDIA marked the 25th anniversary of their long-standing partnership by hosting a special event for Korean gamers, bringing together the leaders of both companies to celebrate a quarter-century of collaboration and discuss the future of gaming innovation.

Kim Taekjin, CEO of NCSoft, and Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA, recently visited a PC café in Korea, where they met with gamers and shared insights into emerging technologies and future industry trends. The event was organized to commemorate the 25-year partnership between the two companies.

The PC café held particular significance for both organizations. NCSoft grew alongside Korea’s thriving online gaming culture, while NVIDIA established a strong presence in the market through its high-performance graphics processing units (GPUs). Their reunion in a PC café symbolized the role both companies have played in shaping the growth of Korea’s gaming industry.

During the event, the two executives introduced cutting-edge technologies and engaged directly with attendees. NVIDIA showcased RTX Spark, its next-generation AI computing platform, while participants had the opportunity to experience gaming laptops powered by the latest RTX GPUs.

One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of gameplay footage from NCSoft’s upcoming titles. Gamers were given a first look at AION 2, the company’s next-generation MMORPG, as well as the new project Cinder City, both running in an RTX Spark-powered environment.

The relationship between NCSoft and NVIDIA extends far beyond hardware support. Since the early 2000s, the two companies have collaborated across multiple technology areas, including game graphics, server infrastructure, and artificial intelligence.

Over the years, they have also worked together on global marketing initiatives and technology demonstrations at major industry events such as Gamescom and G-STAR, strengthening their presence in international gaming markets.

As AI increasingly becomes a key competitive factor in the gaming industry, the scope of collaboration continues to expand. By combining NVIDIA’s AI computing capabilities and graphics technologies with NCSoft’s game development expertise, the companies aim to create more immersive and realistic gaming experiences while advancing AI-powered characters and real-time interaction technologies.

Industry observers also see potential collaboration in the field of physical AI, which NVIDIA has identified as a major growth area. Technologies such as simulation platforms that bridge virtual and physical worlds, physics-based computing, and AI agents could significantly enhance future game development and player experiences.

Many industry analysts view the event as more than a simple anniversary celebration. It served as a symbolic demonstration of how NCSoft and NVIDIA, which helped define the online gaming era together, are preparing to shape the future of gaming innovation in the AI era.

As the gaming industry enters a new phase driven by AI, attention is increasingly focused on how the two companies will leverage their long-standing partnership to create the next generation of interactive entertainment experiences.
