LG Electronics is stepping up its push into the North American heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) market, aiming to expand its presence with a broad portfolio of solutions ranging from residential systems to industrial-scale cooling technologies.

The company announced that it will participate in AHR Expo 2026, North America’s largest HVAC exhibition, taking place from February 2 to 4 in Las Vegas. LG Electronics will operate a 447-square-meter exhibition space divided into residential, commercial and industrial zones, allowing visitors to experience its integrated HVAC offerings across different applications.

In the residential zone, LG Electronics will highlight its unitary inverter heat pump, designed for stable heating and cooling performance and even temperature distribution. The system incorporates a refrigerant leak detection sensor to enhance safety and is designed for easier installation and maintenance, making it suitable for detached homes and a variety of residential settings.

Unitary systems are optimized for North American housing environments, where detached houses and high ceilings are common. The solution connects standardized outdoor units and indoor air-handling units through ductwork to distribute conditioned air throughout the home. Building on its experience in commercial system air conditioners, LG Electronics is expanding its unitary business as part of its strategy to strengthen its premium brand position in the region.

The company is also presenting water heating solutions tailored to local demand. Its inverter heat pump water heater, certified by ENERGY STAR®, offers stable hot water supply and high heating efficiency. LG Electronics’ tankless gas water heater provides instant hot water without the need for storage tanks and uses a dual stainless-steel heat exchanger to improve efficiency and heat retention.

In the industrial zone, LG Electronics will showcase liquid cooling solutions for AI data centers, including its Coolant Distribution Unit (CDU). The system attaches metal cold plates directly to server CPUs and GPUs, circulating coolant to remove heat efficiently. Compared with air-cooling methods, the solution requires less installation space and offers higher energy efficiency, making it suitable for high-density AI data center operations.

The commercial zone will feature a locally manufactured rooftop unit, which is being introduced for the first time. The system is designed to deliver stable heating performance at temperatures as low as minus 5 degrees Celsius and can be easily integrated with building automation systems. LG Electronics will also present its VRF solution, LG Multi V i, which uses a high-efficiency inverter compressor and AI-based smart controls to improve energy efficiency, along with the application of the environmentally friendly R32 refrigerant.

In addition, the company will display its modular high-efficiency inverter scroll chiller, which allows up to six units to be connected in parallel, helping reduce both initial investment and operating costs. LG Electronics is also operating a dedicated booth for its core HVAC components, including compressors, motors, fan motors and drives, offering integrated solutions optimized for different building environments.

Lee Jae-sung, president of LG Electronics’ ES Business Division, said the company plans to accelerate its expansion in North America and global HVAC markets by extending its core technology-based solutions, including unitary systems and AI data center cooling, across residential, commercial and industrial sectors.
