European users can deposit euros via SEPA Instant, receive EURe stablecoins, and access multi-chain digital asset markets through self-custodied wallets.

As the European Union's new digital asset regulatory framework takes effect, near.com has introduced a euro on-ramp designed to connect traditional banking with onchain finance.

The company announced on July 1 that European users can now transfer euros from their bank accounts via SEPA Instant, receive EURe stablecoins, and transact across multiple blockchain networks directly from their own wallets without relying on centralized cryptocurrency exchanges.

MiCA implementation expands compliant euro access

The launch coincides with the end of the EU's transition period under the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation, which establishes a unified licensing framework for digital asset service providers across member states.

Against this backdrop, the availability of compliant euro-denominated on-ramps remains relatively limited. near.com said its new integration enables users to move euros onchain while retaining self-custody of their digital assets.

Multi-chain access through NEAR Intents

According to the company, euros deposited through SEPA Instant are converted into EURe stablecoins and can then be used through near.com's interface.

The platform, built on NEAR Intents, supports transactions across more than 30 blockchain networks and over 180 digital assets, including tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) and perpetual futures markets. NEAR Intents automatically routes liquidity across supported networks during transactions.

Confidential transaction option introduced

The platform also introduces an optional confidential transaction mode through Confidential Intents.

When enabled, transaction details remain private while settlement is processed through a private shard on the NEAR Protocol, according to the company. near.com said the feature is intended to provide a privacy option for users while maintaining onchain settlement.

Executives highlight self-custody and open infrastructure

Alex Shevchenko, CEO of Defuse Labs, said the objective is to allow users to access liquidity across multiple blockchain networks without being dependent on a single centralized platform.

Kendall Cole, co-founder of Proximity Labs, said integrating EURe with near.com enables European users to access decentralized finance while maintaining control of their own digital assets.

The launch reflects broader efforts by blockchain infrastructure providers to expand regulated fiat on-ramps as Europe's digital asset market enters the MiCA era, with greater emphasis on compliant stablecoins, self-custody, and cross-chain interoperability.
