Solidus Labs announced in New York on October 1, 2026, that digital asset exchange BTSE has selected its HALO Trade Surveillance module to monitor trading across digital assets and tokenized real-world assets. The system is designed to help compliance teams identify potential market abuse as BTSE expands its products and geographic reach. The announcement did not disclose financial terms or a deployment timetable.
According to Solidus Labs, HALO combines trade data with behavioural signals to identify suspicious patterns in real time, including spoofing, wash trading and attempts to artificially push prices higher. BTSE will also use the platform’s Model Testing tools to adjust detection parameters and simulate trading scenarios. The companies said these functions would help tailor alerts to BTSE’s trading patterns and reduce false positives.
“Since we've expanded our services to serve users in many different regions and countries, it's become increasingly difficult to monitor each and every transaction for potential market abuse and manipulation,” said Jeff Mei, chief operating officer at BTSE. He said the technology would help the exchange monitor activity more efficiently. HALO’s Market Inspection function will also give analysts broader market context beyond BTSE’s own trading activity to support investigations.
The agreement covers surveillance for digital asset and tokenized real-world asset markets, according to the announcement. BTSE also licenses exchange technology to third-party operators through its white-label business. The release did not specify whether all exchanges using that infrastructure would be covered by the surveillance programme.
Diana Xu, head of Asia-Pacific at Solidus Labs, said the company would support BTSE’s expansion into new asset classes, including tokenized real-world assets. The announcement centres on strengthening detection and investigation capabilities, but provides no measured results on alert accuracy or reductions in market abuse. Those outcomes will be important in assessing the system’s effectiveness as BTSE broadens its trading operations.
