ZeroDrift positions itself as a compliance enforcement layer between organizations and external audiences. The company says the platform functions as a communication firewall, checking outbound messages against SEC and FINRA requirements and internal policies before they are sent. Messages are reviewed in real time, and noncompliant content is blocked from delivery.

New York City — February 10, 2026 — ZeroDrift announced it has emerged from stealth and raised a $2 million pre-seed round to support the development and rollout of its compliance platform for regulated industries.

The company describes ZeroDrift as a compliance enforcement layer that sits between an organization and external audiences. According to ZeroDrift, the platform functions as a “communication firewall,” checking outbound messages in real time against SEC and FINRA requirements as well as firm-specific policies, and blocking messages that do not meet those standards.

ZeroDrift said the pre-seed round was led by a16z speedrun, bringing total funding to $2 million. The company stated the proceeds will be used for go-to-market activities, expansion across additional communication channels, and continued development of its compliance engine.

ZeroDrift framed its launch around what it characterized as increasing pressure on regulated firms to move faster—particularly as teams adopt AI tools and expand digital outreach—while still meeting strict supervisory and recordkeeping expectations. The company argued that traditional compliance workflows, which often rely on manual review, approval queues, and sampling, can become a bottleneck as communication volume grows.

The company said its system encodes regulatory and internal policies into machine-readable “rulepacks” and enforces them at the point of content creation. ZeroDrift also said it integrates with tools commonly used for external communications, including email, browsers, CRMs, websites, social platforms, and AI systems. The platform is designed to flag potential issues, recommend edits, and provide compliance teams with centralized monitoring, audit trails, and documentation intended to support examinations.

Founder and CEO Kumesh Aroomoogan said the product was motivated by challenges he observed while building Accern, which he said was acquired in 2025, including delays caused by legal and compliance review cycles and uncertainty about whether written communications would meet policy requirements.

ZeroDrift said it is initially targeting financial services, including registered investment advisors, asset managers, broker-dealers, and wealth platforms. The company cited a U.S. market of more than 15,000 RIAs, 3,500 asset managers, and hundreds of thousands of registered representatives, and said early use cases include faster marketing approvals, improved sales responsiveness, enabling client-facing AI deployments with controls, and maintaining ongoing “exam readiness.”

Troy Kirwin of a16z speedrun said the firm views compliance as an operational constraint for regulated companies and described ZeroDrift’s approach as shifting compliance from post-review to prevention within day-to-day workflows.

ZeroDrift said it plans to expand coverage within financial services before extending its rule-based compliance engine to other regulated sectors, including insurance, healthcare, ESG disclosures, and AI governance. The company described its longer-term goal as providing a trust and compliance layer for systems that generate external communications as AI adoption increases.
