As artificial intelligence (AI) becomes a critical factor in corporate competitiveness, demand for AI transformation (AX) among startups is rapidly increasing. KT is expanding its collaborative ecosystem with global technology partners to help emerging companies accelerate AI adoption and cloud migration.

According to the IT industry, KT hosted the “KT AX Immersion Day 2026 Gyeonggi” on June 10 at Pangyo Startup Campus in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, in partnership with the Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy & Innovation, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Databricks Korea, and KT Cloud.

The event was designed to provide practical guidance for startups that possess strong technological capabilities but face challenges in developing AI strategies and building the infrastructure needed for digital transformation. Companies from the IT, gaming, and media sectors participated in programs focused on leveraging AI and data as drivers of business growth.

Key topics included AI agents, data-driven decision-making, and cloud transformation strategies—areas that have become major priorities across the global technology industry. Participants gained insights into real-world implementation models and operational experiences rather than simply learning about new technologies, helping them identify practical approaches to AI adoption.

AWS introduced AI agent technologies capable of understanding user instructions and autonomously performing tasks, highlighting real-world examples of productivity improvements. The company also presented strategies for building development environments and operational frameworks for AI services amid the rapid expansion of generative AI.

Databricks emphasized that a startup’s ability to utilize data effectively has become a critical factor in determining growth and competitiveness. The company shared approaches for integrating fragmented internal data sources and establishing systems that enable faster and more informed decision-making.

KT showcased digital transformation cases based on its Cloudflex service, which optimizes multi-cloud environments according to customer requirements. The company highlighted Cloudflex’s ability to provide scalability, flexibility, security, and operational stability while adapting to diverse business needs.

KT Cloud presented its experience supporting cloud migration projects in highly regulated sectors, including public institutions and financial organizations. The company shared best practices for system migration and operations, emphasizing that cloud transformation can be successfully implemented even in industries with stringent security and compliance requirements.

Industry experts note that AI adoption is rapidly expanding beyond large enterprises to startups and small and medium-sized businesses. While limited budgets and shortages of specialized talent previously restricted access to AI technologies, the widespread availability of generative AI and cloud services has significantly lowered barriers to entry.

“Many startups recognize the need for AI but are unsure where to begin,” said an industry representative. “Programs that provide practical implementation cases and insights from technology leaders can play a significant role in helping companies establish effective AX strategies.”

Participating startups also expressed optimism about the event’s practical value, noting that it provided not only updates on emerging technology trends but also concrete methodologies applicable to their business environments.

KT plans to continue expanding AI transformation support programs tailored to regional industries and different stages of corporate growth. The company aims to position itself not merely as a technology provider but as a long-term partner supporting AI and cloud-driven innovation.

“AI competitiveness is no longer determined by company size, but by how quickly organizations can leverage technology,” a KT official said. “Through collaboration with a broad range of partners, we will continue strengthening support for companies seeking to achieve innovation through AI and cloud technologies.”
