The platform uses off-chain order matching and on-chain settlement in a non-custodial cross-chain trading model

LONDON, March 9, 2026 — Yellow announced the launch of its trading platform and native $YELLOW token. The company said the platform is built for real-time, non-custodial cross-chain trading and is intended to combine high-speed trade execution with decentralized asset custody.

According to Yellow, the trading platform is designed to give retail users access to high-frequency trading without requiring custody by an intermediary. The system executes trades off-chain through State Channels, where orders are matched peer-to-peer and later settled on-chain. The company said this structure is intended to combine faster execution with on-chain settlement.

Yellow said the platform includes a process in which collateral is cryptographically verified before trades are matched. According to the company, this is designed to prevent trading based on uncollateralized liquidity and reduce counterparty risk in the matching process.

The company said the platform’s architecture is intended to provide high-speed execution while maintaining user self-custody. It added that the model is designed to reduce risks associated with liquidation practices and intermediary-controlled trading environments.

Alexis Sirkia, Chairman of Yellow.

Alexis Sirkia, Chairman of Yellow, said the platform is intended to enable direct peer-to-peer exchange of digital assets without intermediary involvement. He said the use of state-channel technology allows trading activity to take place off-chain while users retain self-custody of assets.

Alongside the platform launch, Yellow also introduced $YELLOW, the ecosystem’s native utility token. The company said the token is intended for use in functions including payment of on-chain transaction fees across multiple chains, access to network services, clearing fees for batch settlement, gasless execution, and participation in ecosystem incentive programs.
