On October 15, Crypto.com announced that it had been named the official cryptocurrency payments partner for the APEC CEO Summit in Korea 2025. This summit is one of the key events leading up to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders' Meeting, scheduled to take place in Gyeongju from October 28 to 31.
The company said attendees can register and purchase tickets for the summit using its payment service, Crypto.com Pay, through October 20.
The APEC CEO Summit is widely regarded as the region’s largest annual business forum, bringing together corporate leaders, policymakers, and academics to discuss trends shaping the global economy. This year’s sessions are expected to focus on artificial intelligence, digital innovation, and sustainable growth.
The partnership marks the first time the APEC CEO Summit has collaborated with a cryptocurrency payment platform. Industry observers see the move as part of South Korea’s broader push to strengthen its position as a digital asset hub in Asia.
Crypto.com said its role as an official partner will allow it to showcase the use of digital currencies for secure and efficient transactions, offering summit participants an opportunity to experience cryptocurrency payments firsthand.
