SINGAPORE, March 6 — OKX announced the launch of Orbit, a native social network integrated into the OKX app, as the company seeks to address credibility issues in social trading by linking market discussions with optional disclosure of verified trading performance data.

According to OKX, Orbit is designed to respond to a trading environment in which investment decisions are increasingly shaped by social media posts, curated screenshots, and AI-generated commentary. The company said the product is intended to help users assess the credibility of trading ideas more effectively at a time when regulators have also raised concerns about the risks of market manipulation driven by social media activity.

The platform enables OKX app users to interact in real time through posts, livestreams, and group chats while also discussing market views and trade ideas within the same interface used for trading. A central feature of Orbit is the ability for users, on an opt-in basis, to disclose verified trading statistics directly within the OKX app, including portfolio performance, profit and loss (PnL), and win rate. OKX said this functionality is intended to reduce the gap between public market commentary and measurable trading results.

Social trading has expanded rapidly across digital asset markets, but performance verification has often remained limited or inconsistent. As a result, users have frequently had difficulty determining whether widely shared market opinions are supported by an actual record of trading performance. OKX said Orbit was developed to introduce a higher level of transparency by allowing users to review disclosed performance data alongside commentary and market analysis.

By combining communication, performance visibility, and execution tools within a single platform, Orbit is intended to allow users to identify market ideas, review the track record of those sharing them when such data is disclosed, and respond quickly to market developments. The company said users can trade directly from market references embedded in conversations, including cashtags such as $BTC, $ETH, and $SOL.

Orbit also includes community-building functions that allow users to create open or gated groups. OKX said these features are aimed at supporting both experienced traders and newer participants. More experienced users may use the platform to build audiences, host discussions, and participate in incentive structures, while less experienced traders may benefit from access to real-time conversations and market context within the app.

The rollout of Orbit began on February 26 for a select group of users and is being introduced in phases. OKX said broader access will follow after the beta stage is completed.

Haider Rafique, Managing Partner at OKX, said the launch marks the first time the company’s app includes a built-in social channel for sharing trading ideas through posts, livestreams, and group chats. He said similar community-driven features have been popular in equities trading platforms and that OKX aims to provide a comparable environment for digital asset traders, while adding the option for users to share verified trading performance and market interpretations.

OKX said Orbit’s governance features and creator tools will continue to be expanded as the rollout progresses.

OKX describes itself as a global fintech company focused on digital asset investing, payments, and trading. The company said its services are used by more than 100 million people worldwide across spot, futures, and decentralized markets. It is also known for its exchange, wallet, and on-chain ecosystem serving both retail users and institutions.
