Doosan Robotics has gained recognition for its advanced technology ahead of the world’s largest IT exhibition, CES 2026.
On November 6th, the company announced that its AI robot solution, ‘Scan & Go,’ was honored with both the Top Innovation Award in the AI category and the Robotics Innovation Award at the ‘CES 2026 Innovation Awards’ hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) on November 5th (local time).
The CES Innovation Awards are given annually to products demonstrating outstanding innovation and technological excellence, with only 1-2 products selected as the “Top Innovation” in each category.
‘Scan & Go’ is a platform that combines a robotic arm and autonomous mobile robots (AMR), utilizing physics-informed AI and advanced 3D vision technology to autonomously scan, inspect, sand, and grind the surfaces of large complex structures. Its physics-informed AI incorporates physical characteristics such as joint movements, friction, and torque sensors into learning models, maximizing efficiency and reliability.
The platform is designed for ‘Plug & Play’ operation, eliminating the need for separate design schematics, thereby enhancing productivity and capable of achieving 0.1mm precision. It also features real-time force control through 6-axis torque sensors and has acquired industry-leading safety certifications (PLe, Cat4), making it highly applicable in industrial environments.
Kim Min-pyo, CEO of Doosan Robotics, stated, “We are focused on developing practical AI robot solutions that can be immediately applied on-site, and ‘Scan & Go’ is our first milestone in that effort.” He added, “Next year, we plan to unveil a range of AI robot products that will address real-world industrial problems.”
