Geneva, Switzerland ㅡ TRON DAO announced recently that the TRON network has been integrated with Base, an Ethereum Layer 2 network incubated by Coinbase, enabling the TRX token to be bridged into the Base ecosystem. The integration, implemented through the cross-chain interoperability protocol LayerZero, allows TRX to be accessed within the Base app environment and used across decentralized exchanges operating on the network.
According to TRON DAO, the move is intended to improve cross-chain accessibility by enabling TRX to circulate within Base’s Layer 2 infrastructure without reliance on centralized transfer mechanisms. Users can interact with decentralized applications and liquidity venues on Base while retaining exposure to TRON-based assets.
Justin Sun, founder of TRON, said the integration reflects broader efforts to enhance interoperability between blockchain ecosystems. He noted that connecting TRON with Base aims to reduce network fragmentation and expand options for scalable on-chain activity.
TRON framed the integration against its current network scale. Since launching its mainnet in 2018, the blockchain has recorded cumulative transfer volumes exceeding $23 trillion, supports more than 350 million user accounts, and processes roughly 10 million transactions per day. The network reports over $23 billion in total value locked and approximately 3.37 million daily active accounts.
The emphasis on interoperability comes amid renewed market attention on projects demonstrating rapid user and liquidity formation across platforms. Following its token generation event (TGE) on December 12, RaveDAO has drawn notable trading activity, particularly in the Korean market. Its native token, RAVE, reached approximately $55 million in trading volume within 24 hours and became the top asset by daily volume on Aster, according to market data cited by the project.
Within the first 24 hours after the TGE, RAVE recorded more than $200 million in spot trading volume across venues. Derivatives exposure also expanded after Binance launched RAVE/USDT perpetual futures, reflecting broader market interest despite ongoing bearish conditions across the digital asset sector.
Industry observers note that the contrasting developments — infrastructure-level integrations such as TRON’s connection to Base, alongside rapid post-TGE liquidity formation seen in projects like RaveDAO — illustrate how adoption dynamics are evolving. Rather than relying solely on standalone blockchains, momentum is increasingly shaped by cross-network accessibility, cultural or community-driven participation, and the ability to operate seamlessly across multiple trading and application environments.
In this context, the TRON–Base integration and RaveDAO’s market reception are viewed as parallel signals of a broader shift toward connected blockchain ecosystems, where interoperability and distribution channels play a growing role in real-world usage and liquidity formation.
