Telcoin has launched a banking service that allows U.S. users to open bank accounts directly connected to on-chain U.S. dollar balances through its digital wallet platform, marking a new step in the integration of regulated banking infrastructure and blockchain-based financial services.
The service is offered through Telcoin Digital Asset Bank, a Nebraska-chartered digital asset bank established under the Nebraska Financial Innovation Act. The bank issues eUSD, a dollar-backed stablecoin, and enables customers to hold deposits linked directly to blockchain-based balances.
According to the company, U.S. residents can now open individual accounts through the Telcoin Wallet application, with balances represented by eUSD stablecoins issued by the bank. The accounts are designed to support payments, transfers, and interactions with digital assets through blockchain networks.
The launch reflects a broader industry effort to connect traditional banking services with blockchain infrastructure. By linking regulated bank accounts directly to stablecoin balances, the model seeks to reduce reliance on third-party payment gateways and separate banking and cryptocurrency platforms.
Nebraska Charter Provides Regulatory Framework
Telcoin received a Digital Asset Depository Institution (DADI) charter from the state of Nebraska in November 2025, becoming the first company to operate under the state's digital asset banking framework.
Under Nebraska law, Telcoin Digital Asset Bank is recognized as a banking institution and is authorized to issue its eUSD stablecoin and accept customer deposits across the United States, subject to applicable regulations.
The Nebraska Financial Innovation Act created a regulatory structure specifically designed for digital asset banks. The framework differs from conventional cryptocurrency service providers by placing certain blockchain-based financial activities within a banking regulatory environment.
Wallet Infrastructure Focuses on Blockchain-Based Payments
The current release primarily introduces the underlying infrastructure connecting customer accounts with eUSD balances on blockchain networks.
Telcoin said future updates are expected to include additional features such as debit card services and regulated yield-bearing products tied to eUSD balances, subject to regulatory approval.
The company stated that merchant and institutional account offerings are also under development as part of its broader banking platform strategy.
Expansion Plans Include Telecommunications-Based Blockchain Network
Beyond retail banking services, Telcoin plans to expand its ecosystem through APIs, business integrations, and support for additional account types.
The company is also preparing to launch Telcoin Network, a Layer 1 blockchain project designed to be validated by telecommunications operators. Telcoin said the network is intended to support the distribution and use of eUSD and other digital cash products across multiple markets.
The launch comes as financial institutions, regulators, and blockchain companies continue exploring models that combine regulated banking services with stablecoin-based payment systems. Industry observers view such initiatives as part of a broader trend toward integrating traditional financial infrastructure with blockchain networks while maintaining regulatory oversight.
