LS Electric has won three awards at the iF Design Award 2026, one of the world’s top three design competitions, demonstrating its strong capabilities in both industrial equipment and digital platform design.
The company announced on April 15 that its smart circuit breaker “Compact ACB” and next-generation automation solution “XGT Integrated Safety PLC” received awards in the product design category, while its energy consulting platform “Beyond X - Enable” was recognized in the service design category.
Founded in 1953, the iF Design Award evaluates entries based on innovation, usability, aesthetics, and impact across product and service design. It is widely regarded as one of the world’s three most prestigious design awards alongside Germany’s Red Dot Design Award and the U.S.-based IDEA.
This year’s competition attracted around 10,000 entries from 68 countries. LS Electric stood out amid intense competition, earning recognition for its design excellence and differentiation.
The achievement highlights LS Electric’s growing strength not only in industrial product design but also in digital platform design.
The award-winning “Compact ACB” is a smart circuit breaker that maximizes space efficiency while integrating digital capabilities. It allows users to configure and monitor settings via NFC and Bluetooth, and features an intuitive interface that enhances usability.
The “XGT Integrated Safety PLC” is designed to control various industrial equipment, combining high-speed, high-precision control and safety functions within a single CPU. It features an OLED display, front-facing ports, and a modular structure that improves installation and maintenance efficiency.
Meanwhile, “Beyond X - Enable” is an AI- and cloud-based energy consulting platform that supports carbon neutrality initiatives. It is designed to connect decision-making and execution in industrial environments through dashboards and monthly reports.
“By translating safety, intuitiveness, and usability requirements from industrial sites into refined design, we were able to achieve this recognition,” an LS Electric official said. “We will continue to innovate in product and service design aligned with the smart grid and smart factory era.”
