Korea’s leading Web3 developers and university research teams have successfully demonstrated production-ready decentralized AI (DeAI) systems running on-chain, following a major hackathon hosted by FLock.io in collaboration with Alibaba Cloud’s Qwen and Base. The Qwen Base SKYST Hackathon brought together developers from the SKYST consortium—Seoul National University, Korea University, Yonsei University, and KAIST—along with broader Web3 communities across Korea. The participants built real, deployable applications using FLock’s newly launched API platform, marking a significant milestone for ethical and privacy-preserving DeAI.

A Breakthrough in On-Chain Autonomous Agents

Throughout the week-long event, teams developed fully autonomous AI agents capable of consuming compute and data entirely on-chain, powered by secure x402 micropayments. The hackathon produced one of the world’s first end-to-end demonstrations of:

DeAI model training on-chain

Autonomous agent-to-agent commerce

Secure execution in live applications

The results represent a major leap toward a new standard for privacy-preserving decentralized AI.

Winning Projects: The First Large-Scale x402 Use Cases

Finalists announced on Saturday, November 29, 2025, delivered high-impact applications ranging from secure agent infrastructure to financial AI tools. These projects represent the earliest documented global deployments of the x402 standard at a meaningful scale.

1st Place — Infra402

A system enabling instant resource rental and management directly through a chatbot and wallet interface, powered by FLock.io’s API and x402 micropayments.

2nd Place — BarrierX

A Zero-Trust Firewall designed specifically for secure AI agents.

3rd Place — Dignitas

A reputation layer for AI agents—framed as “LinkedIn for AI Agents.”

Industry Impact

“In under a week, developers in Korea built autonomous agents that can already pay each other, rent resources, defend themselves, and prove reputation—entirely on-chain without trusting any central provider. The future of the agent-to-agent economy just leaped from roadmap to reality,” said Jiahao Sun, CEO of FLock.io.

FLock.io is a community-driven platform that integrates federated learning with blockchain to create decentralized, on-chain AI models. Its incentive-aligned architecture allows data owners, compute providers, and AI engineers to collaborate securely without exposing raw data, advancing the next generation of privacy-preserving and democratized AI.
