Samsung Electronics will unveil its new AI portable projector, The Freestyle+, at “The First Look” event in Las Vegas on January 4 (local time), ahead of the opening of CES 2026.
The Freestyle+ features an enhanced AI OptiScreen technology, enabling users to freely project images at desired angles not only onto walls, ceilings, and floors, but also onto unconventional surfaces such as corners and curtains.
The new model incorporates a range of AI-based screen optimization features, including 3D Auto Keystone, Screen Calibration, Real-Time Focus, and Screen Fit. The 3D Auto Keystone function automatically corrects distorted images in real time to deliver a rectangular screen even on uneven three-dimensional corners or curved surfaces such as curtains. Screen Calibration analyzes wall colors and patterns using AI to deliver clear visuals, while Real-Time Focus automatically adjusts focus when the projection angle changes. Screen Fit optimizes screen position, size, and angle when a dedicated screen is used.
The Freestyle+ also delivers approximately twice the brightness of its predecessor, supporting up to 430 ISO lumens, allowing for clear content viewing even in environments with indirect lighting.
Samsung has equipped The Freestyle+ with its integrated AI platform, Vision AI Companion, which has already been applied to its TVs and monitors. Through this platform, users can access a range of AI agents, including enhanced Bixby, Copilot, and Perplexity, to receive services such as movie recommendations, travel planning, sports results, and corporate performance analysis.
Lee Heon, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display Business, said that The Freestyle+ is an AI portable screen that delivers a hyper-personalized experience tailored to users’ environments and content, adding that the company will continue to innovate to expand customer-centric viewing experiences.
