LG Energy Solution said Sunday that it will participate in ees Europe 2026, one of the world's leading exhibitions for batteries and energy storage systems (ESS), which will be held from June 23 to 25 at Messe Munich in Germany.

Under the theme "Powering the Future of AI," the company will showcase a range of integrated battery solutions designed to meet the surging electricity demand from artificial intelligence data centers (AIDCs), along with its localized manufacturing capabilities and readiness to comply with evolving European battery regulations.

At the exhibition, LG Energy Solution will present a comprehensive portfolio of battery products spanning the entire AI data center power ecosystem—from battery energy storage systems (BESS) that support grid infrastructure to uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and battery backup unit (BBU) solutions that ensure stable operations during power outages.

One of the key exhibits is the JF2S DC LINK 5.0, a grid-scale ESS system equipped with European-made lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells. The product incorporates LG Energy Solution's latest ESS-specific LFP cells, known as JF2S, and features a fully localized production system in Poland, covering the entire process from battery manufacturing to system supply.

The company said the localized production structure also enhances cybersecurity reliability and strengthens supply chain resilience for European customers.

LG Energy Solution will also unveil its next-generation JP6 UPS rack system, which delivers industry-leading output based on the inherent safety advantages of LFP chemistry, as well as its next-generation 2170 BBU optimized for high-performance servers.

These products are designed to ensure uninterrupted power supply for AI data centers and other mission-critical facilities even during emergency situations.

Another highlight of the exhibition is the company's Battery Passport solution, which digitally manages information throughout a battery's entire life cycle. LG Energy Solution plans to demonstrate its real-world implementation of the system, offering visitors a clear view of how it addresses growing regulatory requirements.

The importance of battery traceability and localized supply chains has increased significantly in Europe with the introduction of regulations such as the European Union Battery Regulation (EUBR) and the Industry Acceleration Act (IAA), both of which emphasize transparency across the battery value chain and the establishment of local production capabilities within Europe.

LG Energy Solution said its Battery Passport system and stable production network centered on its Polish manufacturing facility will enable the company to proactively respond to regulatory changes while further strengthening its market position in Europe.

"The demand for reliable power infrastructure is rising rapidly with the expansion of AI data centers," an LG Energy Solution official said. "Based on our strong manufacturing capabilities in Europe and advanced regulatory compliance systems, we will continue to create differentiated value for customers in the European market."

Industry analysts expect the rapid growth of AI applications and cloud computing services to drive significant demand for energy storage systems and backup power solutions, positioning battery makers with integrated solutions and localized production capabilities to benefit from the next wave of AI infrastructure investment.
