The five-week Medi + Wellness Reset Series combines medical assessment, movement and meditation to support functional recovery in daily life

Reverse aging is increasingly being reframed as a question of function rather than appearance. Instead of promising to turn back biological time, a new wellness program in Seoul is focusing on measurable conditions that shape how people age—including metabolic health, circulation, posture, musculoskeletal pain and scalp health.

Moneve CEO Kim Seok-jung, Bareun Goleum Research Institute Director Lee Si-maek and Mediwellness Academy CEO Yu Min-jeong have launched the “Medi + Wellness Reset Series” at Club K Seoul in Seolleung. The five-week program brings physicians and movement specialists together to connect medical assessment with practices that participants can continue in their everyday lives.

The organizers developed the initiative around a gap between conventional medical treatment and the broader wellness industry. Hospital care can diagnose and treat disease, but it does not always extend into sustained lifestyle recovery. Exercise, meditation and other wellness activities may support well-being, but they cannot replace clinical diagnosis or treatment.

The program therefore places medical consultation, diagnostic testing, tailored exercise and meditation within a single structure. Its guiding proposition is that meaningful recovery begins when medicine and wellness operate as complementary disciplines rather than separate services.

A whole-body program built around five health concerns

Running from August 16 to September 13, the series addresses a different area of health each Sunday. Its five sessions cover abdominal obesity and gut health, lower-body circulation, whole-body metabolism and weight management, neck and shoulder pain, and hair-loss and scalp health.

Each session is led jointly by a physician and a movement specialist. The medical team includes specialists in family medicine, orthopedics, endocrinology and dermatology, while participating wellness professionals represent yoga, Pilates, gait analysis and postural correction.

Depending on the session, participants receive gut microbiome testing, footprint and gait assessment, organic-acid testing related to metabolism and mitochondrial function, posture analysis or a detailed scalp examination. The organizers say each session includes testing valued at approximately 200,000 won, along with one-on-one consultations with a physician and a posture specialist.

Participants may attend the full five-week course or select individual sessions. Brunch and sauna access are also included as part of the program, which is held on Sunday mornings at Club K Seoul.

From longevity claims to functional recovery

The program offers a more practical interpretation of reverse aging. It does not claim to reverse chronological age. Instead, it targets modifiable factors—movement, metabolic condition, circulation, posture and recovery habits—that can influence physical function and quality of life over time.

This distinction matters as the wellness market increasingly adopts medical language. Combining clinical assessment with exercise may help participants understand their physical condition more precisely, but wellness services must still remain clearly separated from medical diagnosis and treatment where appropriate.

CEO Yu Min-jeong at Mediwellness Academy said medical care alone does not always lead to recovery in daily life, while exercise and meditation have limits when symptoms require accurate diagnosis and treatment. “This collaboration connects those two worlds in one place,” she said.

Participants have included physicians, entrepreneurs, models and exercise professionals. According to the organizers, the sessions have also developed into a community where people from different fields exchange health-related knowledge and explore potential collaborations.

The emerging model points to a broader direction for the reverse-aging sector. Its credibility will depend less on expansive claims about youthfulness than on whether medically informed programs can produce measurable improvements in mobility, metabolic health, pain management and sustainable daily behavior.

The Medi + Wellness Reset Series is held at Club K Seoul, a premium wellness venue in Seolleung, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. For further information, contact Mediwellness Academy.
