Second North American joint deployment with INFINITT North America expands AI use from radiology groups to hospital systems
Coreline Soft will deploy its chest CT-based artificial intelligence solution at St. Joseph’s Health in Paterson, New Jersey, in partnership with INFINITT North America (INA), expanding the Korean medical AI company’s presence in the U.S. healthcare market.
The project marks the second North American joint deployment by Coreline Soft and INA, following their implementation at ImageCare Radiology, a U.S. radiology group. While the first project focused on a specialized radiology organization, the latest deployment extends the partnership into a hospital system providing inpatient, outpatient and emergency care.
St. Joseph’s Health will initially use Coreline Soft’s AVIEW platform for chest CT scans performed as part of lung cancer screening.
AVIEW analyzes chest CT images for pulmonary nodules and other key findings, providing quantitative information such as lesion size, volume and location. The platform can also compare current and previous CT scans to help physicians assess changes in lesion size and morphology over time.
A key feature of the project is the integration of AVIEW directly into St. Joseph’s existing INFINITT PACS environment rather than operating the AI solution as a separate application.
Once CT images are transferred to the PACS, AI analysis will run automatically in the background. Radiologists will then be able to review the AI-generated results within their existing reading environment without launching a separate program or switching between different screens.
The approach reflects a broader shift in the medical AI industry, where successful clinical adoption increasingly depends not only on algorithm performance but also on how effectively AI can be incorporated into existing hospital workflows.
For healthcare providers, particularly in the United States, integration with established imaging infrastructure such as PACS can be an important factor in determining whether AI tools can be used efficiently in routine clinical practice. Reducing additional steps for physicians can also help lower barriers to adoption.
For Coreline Soft, the St. Joseph’s Health project represents another step in building clinical references in the North American market. The company’s collaboration with INA has now expanded from a radiology group to a hospital system, potentially broadening the range of healthcare organizations where its chest CT AI technology can be deployed.
The project also highlights the role of partnerships between AI developers and medical imaging infrastructure providers. By integrating AI analysis directly into PACS, the companies aim to make AI part of the routine radiology workflow rather than a standalone diagnostic tool.
“We are pleased to work with Coreline Soft to integrate advanced AI capabilities directly into St. Joseph’s imaging workflow,” said David Smarro, president of INFINITT North America.
With the St. Joseph’s Health deployment, Coreline Soft is seeking to demonstrate not only the analytical capabilities of its AVIEW platform but also its ability to integrate the technology into existing U.S. healthcare IT environments. Further adoption by hospitals and imaging providers could become an important indicator of the company’s progress in expanding its presence in the North American medical AI market.
