MONTREAL, Canada, Feb. 5, 2026 (local time)— RoboDK, a developer of robot simulation and offline programming (OLP) software, announced the release of RoboDK CAM, a computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) product aimed at reducing the time required to set up robotic machining cells.

The company said RoboDK CAM is designed to generate robot programs from CAD models and simulated machining workflows, reducing reliance on manual programming in vendor-specific robot languages. According to RoboDK, the software includes toolpath generation, collision detection, and machining simulation features intended to help users validate cell configurations and machining strategies before deployment.

RoboDK CAM is positioned to support multiple machining and material-processing tasks, including milling, drilling, deburring, cutting, and additive manufacturing. RoboDK said users can create and simulate toolpaths and move from simpler three-axis operations to five-axis machining within the same software environment.

The product is offered in two configurations:

Standalone: RoboDK said this version combines toolpath generation, robot simulation, and code generation in a single interface. The company added that features include surface machining functions, stock tracking, and full process simulation.

Integrated: RoboDK said this version is intended for users who prefer to keep their existing CAD/CAM workflows. It integrates with platforms such as Fusion 360, SolidWorks, and Mastercam via add-ins, using RoboDK’s simulation and programming engine to extend CAM outputs to industrial robots.

RoboDK cited feedback from early testers indicating that the software can reduce testing time—by up to 40% depending on system complexity—and shorten overall deployment timelines. The company said the goal is to help manufacturers reduce downtime and iterate machining processes faster, while enabling system integrators to reduce engineering effort and project lead times.

Albert Nubiola, CEO of RoboDK, said the release is intended to simplify programming for robotic machining tasks and address integration challenges across multi-vendor environments. Sergei Kanivets, an application engineer at RoboDK, said the company expects the product to support adoption without requiring major changes to existing processes.

RoboDK said it plans to continue expanding its software lineup for automation and advanced manufacturing applications.
