Mirae Asset Securities has strengthened its brand competitiveness by moving up one spot to 12th place in the second-quarter "Korea's Top 100 Brands" ranking, underscoring the company's growing influence in the financial services industry.
According to Mirae Asset Securities on Monday, the ranking is compiled by BrandStock, a brand valuation firm that evaluates leading brands across all major industries in Korea using its proprietary brand assessment model.
The company has maintained a steady upward trajectory since first entering the Top 100 following the launch of Mirae Asset Daewoo in 2016. Last year, it broke into the top 10 for the first time, further solidifying its reputation as one of the country's most trusted financial brands.
Mirae Asset Securities attributes its continued brand growth to expanding global operations and strengthening its digital investment ecosystem. As of June 2025, the firm manages approximately KRW 800 trillion (about US$580 billion) in client assets worldwide, including KRW 80 trillion in retirement pension assets, while operating one of Korea's largest overseas financial networks spanning 11 markets.
Its mobile trading platform, M-STOCK, has also played a significant role in enhancing customer engagement. The app has ranked No. 1 in monthly active users among Korean securities firms for six consecutive months since December 2024. Including cryptocurrency exchange applications, M-STOCK recently became the most widely used investment app in Korea with approximately 3.86 million monthly active users.
The company is also accelerating its global digital strategy. Last week, Mirae Asset Securities' Hong Kong subsidiary unveiled MAPS, a new global investment platform designed to integrate trading of both traditional financial assets and digital assets within a single ecosystem. The platform marks the launch of the company's "Mirae Asset 3.0" strategy and is expected to expand into key markets including the United States, South Korea, China and Singapore.
Mirae Asset Securities has continued to receive international recognition for its business performance. It was named Best Securities Firm in South Korea by Euromoney for the second consecutive year and was also recognized by Global Finance as one of the World's Most Innovative Private Banks. In addition, the company became the first full-service securities firm in Korea to earn the Ministry of Employment and Labor's designation as an Outstanding Retirement Pension Provider for four consecutive years.
Industry observers say the company's combination of global investment capabilities, digital innovation and comprehensive wealth management services has strengthened its competitive position as financial services increasingly shift toward integrated, technology-driven platforms. Continued investment in customer experience and overseas expansion is also expected to support long-term brand growth.
"The latest ranking reflects the trust and confidence our customers have placed in us," said Kim Beom-seok, Head of Communications at Mirae Asset Securities. "We will continue to prioritize our customers while enhancing our investment services and creating sustainable value as a trusted global investment partner."
