Partnership combines data integration and governance with electronic document management

Companies plan joint projects, solution resale and customized AI business models

DataStreams, an intelligent data platform company led by CEO Lee Young-sang, has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with SAT Information to advance AI-ready data-driven innovation and expand joint business opportunities.

The two companies held a signing ceremony at DataStreams’ headquarters on Sept. 8 and agreed to establish a cooperative framework for identifying new business opportunities in AI and data. They plan to pursue joint projects by combining their respective technological and business capabilities.

Enterprise AI Shifts Focus to Trusted Data

As generative AI and AI agents spread rapidly across the operations of companies and public institutions, the performance of AI adoption increasingly depends on how accurately, reliably and securely AI can use internal data, alongside the capabilities of the AI models themselves. Enterprise data is typically distributed across databases, data warehouses, data lakes, business systems and documents.

Applying generative AI and AI agents to actual operations requires more than connecting these fragmented data sources. Organizations must systematically manage data quality and currency, metadata and business context, data flows and access permissions to create an AI-ready data environment.

In response to this shift, DataStreams is expanding its AI Ready Data strategy, which connects and manages enterprise data in forms that AI systems can use immediately. The strategy builds on the company’s existing capabilities in data integration, data governance, data virtualization and data fabric technologies.

Under the agreement, DataStreams will combine its expertise in data integration, governance and AI-ready data with SAT Information’s capabilities in electronic document management and assetization. The companies aim to enhance customers’ data environments and support AI-driven intelligent innovation.

Partnership Targets Joint Projects and Customized Business Models

The areas of cooperation include developing joint business models, expanding and reselling the companies’ respective solutions, identifying new customers and business opportunities, and developing customized business models using their technologies.

The companies intend to move the partnership beyond a simple exchange of technologies and translate it into new business opportunities and joint projects. They will identify specific areas where their capabilities can be combined and gradually expand joint proposals and technical cooperation tailored to customer requirements.

“Connecting AI to practical business innovation requires a data foundation that AI can trust and use,” Lee said. “Through our cooperation with SAT Information, we will combine the technological and business capabilities of both companies and create tangible examples of customer innovation built on AI-ready data.”

Oh Se-yong, CEO of SAT Information, said the partnership could create new business opportunities by combining DataStreams’ data management and AI Ready Data technologies with SAT Information’s business capabilities.

“Building on the cooperation between the two companies, we will develop competitive business models that can support customers’ digital and AI transformation,” Oh said.

DataStreams supports organizations in finance, the public sector and manufacturing in building systems for effective data use. Its platform capabilities span data integration, data governance, metadata, data quality management, data virtualization and data fabric.

The company has recently made AI Ready Data a central strategy as it expands its trusted data infrastructure business for generative AI and agentic AI environments.
