Singapore-based digital travel platform Agoda on June 25 introduced a series of product updates aimed at improving trip planning through real-time travel information and AI-powered tools. The enhancements include live flight notifications, AI-assisted hotel browsing, expanded multilingual support, and integrated booking across multiple travel services.
Real-Time Flight Information Added
Agoda has expanded its flight services on iOS and Android by introducing real-time travel notifications. After a booking is confirmed, travelers receive updates throughout their journey, including flight status, gate and terminal changes, check-in counter details, and baggage carousel information. The platform said users typically receive two to three notifications for each booking.
AI Links Hotel Images with Guest Reviews
The company has also updated its hotel search experience with the introduction of Gallery View for iOS users, offering a more image-focused browsing interface.
A new AI-powered feature connects hotel photos with relevant guest reviews, allowing users to view comments related to specific amenities or room types directly alongside corresponding images. The feature is intended to provide additional context during the booking process.
Expanded Language Support for Flight Assistance
Agoda has broadened language support for flight-related customer inquiries to include Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Thai, Indonesian, and additional language options for users in Hong Kong. The expansion is designed to improve access to customer assistance across a wider range of regional markets.
Integrated Booking Across Travel Services
The latest update also enables travelers to book hotels, flights, and activities within a single transaction. Booked services are consolidated in the "My Trips" section of Agoda's mobile app and website, allowing users to manage multiple components of their itineraries from one location.
Agoda currently provides access to more than 6 million accommodation listings, over 130,000 flight routes, and approximately 300,000 travel activities through its digital platform. Headquartered in Singapore, the company operates as part of Booking Holdings and employs more than 7,000 people across 27 markets.
