Mirae Asset Group Chairman Park Hyun-joo has underscored the importance of differentiated investment products that reflect structural changes in global markets and evolving investor demand, describing so-called “killer products” as central to the future of asset management.

Mirae Asset Asset Management announced that it hosted the “Mirae Asset Rally 2026” event from December 1 to 3 at SAGEWOOD Hongcheon in Gangwon Province, bringing together key ETF executives to review global exchange-traded fund (ETF) business trends and discuss future growth strategies.

At the event, Chairman Park stated that the competitiveness of an asset management company ultimately depends on its ability to translate the future into investment products. “Killer products are those that transform distant and uncertain structural changes into actionable investment opportunities for clients, while also setting new standards in the market,” he said.

He added that the firm’s past success in ETFs was driven by its ability to identify structural shifts ahead of the broader market and convert them into investment solutions. “Our successful ETF products were not merely financial instruments, but bridges connecting clients to the future,” Park noted.

According to him, Mirae Asset’s growth has been rooted in anticipating market changes before they are fully recognized and building conviction-driven products around those trends.

The chairman also introduced the company’s next-stage growth strategy, referred to as “Mirae Asset 3.0.” The strategy aims to integrate ETFs, AI-driven asset management, and digital assets into a unified global investment platform.

Under this framework, ETFs will serve as the core product engine, securities platforms will function as client-facing distribution channels, and AI as well as tokenization technologies will form the next-generation financial infrastructure. The goal is to enable investors to access growth opportunities more efficiently across global markets.

The event also placed strong emphasis on the application of artificial intelligence across the investment value chain. Participants discussed ways to leverage AI in idea generation, product development, portfolio management, and marketing, with the aim of accelerating ETF innovation and improving operational efficiency.

In addition, expansion into the retirement and pension markets was highlighted as a key strategic priority. The firm discussed strengthening ETF adoption within institutional and regional pension systems, particularly amid aging demographics and rising demand for long-term investment solutions.

Industry observers view Mirae Asset’s strategy as a continued push to position itself beyond a traditional asset manager, evolving into a technology-driven global investment platform that integrates financial products with digital infrastructure.

A Mirae Asset official commented that ETFs remain the company’s core growth engine, adding that the firm will continue to combine AI and digital technologies to enhance investor access to global growth opportunities.
