Sulwhasoo, HERA, and AESTURA gain momentum while AI and biotech investments support long-term strategy
Amorepacific Group delivered strong second-quarter results in 2026, reporting double-digit revenue growth and a more than 50% increase in operating profit, driven by robust performance across both domestic and international markets. Growth in South Korea was led by online channels and multi-brand stores (MBS), while overseas operations benefited from continued strength in North America, Europe, and Japan.
The company announced on July 30 that consolidated revenue for the second quarter reached KRW 1.2543 trillion, with operating profit rising to KRW 122.8 billion. Compared with the same period last year, revenue increased 14.6% and operating profit climbed 53.3%.
Amorepacific, the group's flagship cosmetics business, recorded a 17% increase in revenue and a 59% rise in operating profit. Domestic performance was supported by stronger sales through major online platforms, promotional campaigns on the company's direct-to-consumer Amore Mall, and continued expansion in multi-brand stores. Overseas, improved brand competitiveness across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and Japan contributed to solid earnings growth.
In South Korea, revenue rose 10% while operating profit increased 48% year-over-year. Online promotional events and Amore Mall campaigns boosted sales, with major brands including AESTURA, Illiyoon, Hanyul, Mamonde, and Primera delivering solid performance.
Sulwhasoo maintained balanced growth across both online and offline channels, led by its flagship First Care Activating Serum. HERA achieved strong sales through products such as Sensual Nude Gloss and Mesh Powder Cushion, while AESTURA strengthened its position in the derma skincare segment with the successful launch of new products under the Atobarrier365 line. Illiyoon expanded its body care business, and Mise-en-scène and LABO-H introduced new products to strengthen their hair care portfolios.
The group's overseas business also recorded strong growth. International revenue increased 28% year-over-year, while operating profit nearly doubled with a 99% increase. Supported by expanding sales of high-growth brands and improved profitability, the overseas business posted double-digit operating margins for a second consecutive quarter.
In North America and Europe, brands including Laneige, COSRX, Illiyoon, and Mise-en-scène delivered strong sales during Amazon Prime Day, ranking among top performers in the beauty and personal care categories. In the U.S. market, AESTURA posted triple-digit sales growth through Amazon and Sephora, while COSRX expanded sales of its RX skincare line via Amazon and TikTok Shop. Innisfree also continued to grow, driven by its Green Tea skincare line and sun care products.
In Europe, COSRX's sunscreen products gained strong consumer response on Amazon Germany and Amazon UK, while AESTURA expanded its partnership with Sephora and broadened its retail network. Laneige and Innisfree further strengthened their presence through new product launches and digital marketing initiatives.
Japan also delivered solid results, with Laneige benefiting from the launch of its new Balance Mode line and broader distribution through multi-brand retailers. AESTURA and COSRX continued to grow primarily through online sales channels. Southeast Asia, India, and Australia maintained positive momentum, although revenue in Greater China declined following continued channel optimization efforts.
Other brands, including Innisfree, ETUDE, Espoir, and Amos Professional, experienced lower sales due to adjustments in selected distribution channels, while maintaining a strategy focused on core product lines. Osulloc continued its growth through increased online gift set sales and enhanced visitor experiences at its Jeju Tea Museum.
Looking ahead, Amorepacific Group said it will continue strengthening its competitiveness in key global markets while accelerating long-term investments in integrated beauty solutions, bio-based anti-aging research, and artificial intelligence-driven business innovation.
