Netmarble has officially launched its new massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), SOL: enchant, in South Korea, marking its latest entry into the highly competitive MMORPG market.
The game became available at noon on June 18 through Google Play, the Apple App Store, and the official brand website, where users can download both the mobile and PC versions.
Netmarble also introduced its mobile remote-play application, Netmarble Connect, allowing users to remotely access and play the PC version of SOL: enchant from their smartphones. The app also provides convenient access to official community updates and game-related news.
At launch, the company opened six worlds and 30 servers. To accommodate different types of players, Netmarble has separated the game environment into “Regular Worlds” for general users and “Streamer Worlds” designed specifically for content creators and streamers.
To celebrate the launch, Netmarble is offering a variety of in-game events. Rewards dropped by all boss monsters have been increased threefold, while players who are the first to reach Level 50 on each server will receive the Hero-grade item “Baltaros’ Ring.”
Developed by Alt9, a studio founded by key developers who previously worked on Lineage M, SOL: enchant introduces a distinctive “Divine Authority” system that allows players to utilize god-like powers in combat and character progression. The game supports both PC and mobile platforms, providing a seamless cross-platform experience.
The title has attracted considerable attention from MMORPG fans ahead of its launch. Many players have expressed interest in the game's unique progression mechanics and large-scale multiplayer content, while the involvement of veteran MMORPG developers has further fueled expectations.
Online gaming communities have responded positively to early gameplay footage and previews. Some users described the title as “one of the most anticipated MMORPG releases of the year,” while others said they were eager to experience how the Divine Authority system would differentiate the game from existing titles in the genre.
Industry observers note that although the MMORPG market remains highly competitive, players continue to seek fresh gameplay experiences and innovative systems. Analysts believe that SOL: enchant could gain traction if it successfully combines its unique game mechanics with stable live-service operations and regular content updates.
A gaming industry official said, “Players are increasingly looking for MMORPGs that offer something beyond traditional leveling and combat systems. The success of SOL: enchant will likely depend on how effectively its unique features translate into long-term engagement.”
With its official launch now underway, Netmarble plans to continue expanding content and refining the gameplay experience based on player feedback.
