The French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Korea (FKCCI) will host Bastille Day 2026 on July 14 at the Convention Hall (2F), Sebitseom in Seoul, bringing together the French and Korean business communities for one of the country's largest France-related cultural and networking events.
This year's celebration carries particular significance as it coincides with two major milestones: the 40th anniversary of the FKCCI and the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and Korea. The annual event is expected to bring together business leaders, diplomats, entrepreneurs, and members of both communities to celebrate the longstanding partnership between the two countries.
One of the evening's highlights will be a fireworks display over the Han River, illuminating Seoul's skyline in celebration of France's national day.
Business, Culture, and Networking
Held at the landmark Sebitseom floating islands, the event will combine French cuisine, live entertainment, music, cultural experiences, and networking opportunities in a festival atmosphere reflecting France's vibrant culture.
The official program will open with welcoming remarks by David-Pierre Jalicon, followed by congratulatory remarks from Philippe Bertoux.
Television personality Ida Daussy will serve as master of ceremonies. The opening ceremony will feature artist Monsieur KO performing the national anthems of France and Korea.
The celebration will continue until midnight with a DJ party overlooking the Han River, live music performances, French gastronomy, networking sessions, entertainment, and a lucky draw.
Celebrating a Long-Term France–Korea Partnership
Beyond commemorating France's national day, Bastille Day has become an established annual gathering that reflects the cultural, economic, and people-to-people ties between France and Korea.
According to the FKCCI, this year's event is intended to celebrate the two countries' longstanding friendship while reaffirming their shared commitment to future cooperation across business and cultural sectors.
