K-data and Korea IT Times to Build a Global Communication Hub
The Korea Data Agency (K-data) and Korea IT Times have signed a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening the international presence of Korea’s AI and data industry and supporting domestic companies in expanding into global markets.
The two organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on June 22 to promote the global expansion of Korea’s AI and data sector through international outreach and communications. Under the agreement, they will establish a cooperative framework to support Korean AI and data companies in entering overseas markets and enhancing their global competitiveness.
As part of the partnership, K-data and Korea IT Times will collaborate on the production of articles and content showcasing leading Korean AI and data companies to international audiences. The agreement also includes cooperation on industry events, support for overseas market expansion, and the exchange of information and insights on domestic and global AI and data market trends.
As generative AI and the data economy increasingly shape global industrial competitiveness, raising international awareness and credibility for Korean AI and data companies has become a strategic priority. Through this partnership, the two organizations plan to expand efforts to promote the strengths of Korea’s AI and data ecosystem and enhance the global visibility of Korean technology companies.
“AI and data are inherently global industries,” said Yang Jae-soo, President of the Korea Data Agency. “For Korean companies to compete successfully on the world stage, technological excellence alone is not enough. They must also build international recognition and trust.”
He added, “For the past 22 years, Korea IT Times has served as a bridge between Korea and the global technology community by introducing Korean innovation to international audiences while bringing global technology trends to Korea. This agreement represents more than a promotional partnership; it is a strategic collaboration designed to effectively showcase the achievements and competitiveness of Korea’s AI and data industry to the world.”
Yang also noted that K-data would continue working closely with Korea IT Times to support the global expansion of Korean AI and data companies and strengthen the broader industry ecosystem.
Chung Younsoo, Publisher and CEO of Korea IT Times, said, “We are pleased to establish this partnership with the Korea Data Agency. We hope this collaboration will create new opportunities for outstanding Korean AI and data companies in global markets while further enhancing international awareness of Korea’s technological capabilities and industrial strengths.”
He continued, “In the AI era, data has become a core strategic asset and a key source of national competitiveness. As a global communication hub, Korea IT Times will continue introducing the innovation, achievements, and growth stories of Korean AI and data companies to international audiences while serving as a bridge between Korea’s technology industry and the world.”
